This was very consoling. I had such a frustrating week this week, trying to write a chapter, and a Substack article, neither of which seemed to be going anywhere. Knowing where you are in the 'process' is a good point to consider when you get frustrated.
After I published my newsletter this week, I commented to my wife, "I don't know how that all happens. You just keep working, not working, moving in, out, around, and through the thing. Eventually, you're done." We're both lifelong creatives and it's still such a mystery.

Mike you are so right - the mystery of creativity. And yet, you write, you put your words into the world it somehow happens.
