Oh, sorry - GD is Guide Dog! I'm raising my first puppy for Guide Dogs and so used to the initials that I assume everyone else knows! She's an adolescent black labrador, still waiting for her first season after which everything should calm down. I hope! Yes, there should definitely be dog sketches!

That makes a lot more sense! What a wonderful thing to do, to raise a guide dog. Hoping her teen years and first season pass smoothly and you get your loyal, loving hound ready for their next adventure.

How she's grown! Enjoy this time - my GD puppy is now 15 months old and has started ignoring me, particularly when I want her to come back to me. (Having said that, she was angelic this morning but no other dogs were around to distract her! And currently lying on my feet under the table.) I think creative persistence is crucial to training a pup as well as writing!

When you say GD is that Great Dane?! So funny that dogs (and other animals) also go through teenage development. I recently watched the old Harry Enfield sketch about Kevin the teenager turning 13 - wonder if there is a dog sketch too!

Nellie looks awesome/I wonder how big she'll get

That is the question we keep asking - how big CAN she get? But she is proving to be an excellent hound and writing companion, so perhaps more of that is a good thing…

The bigger just means more of her to love
